About The Role

Role Purpose:

The Motion Graphics Designer is responsible for the delivery of marketing assets, mainly animated Social Media posts, animated games, animated landing pages and banners, editing TV end frames and the creation of 3D assets for various promotional campaigns. The role is to ensure deadlines are achieved while maintaining quality. A key part of the position is to prepare and deliver these marketing assets on a daily basis, managing multiple projects concurrently often with very short turnaround times.

Reporting to the Studio Manager the motion graphics designer is expected to pro-actively collaborate with other teams members, stakeholders and marketing counterparts to support and enable them to meet their KPIs.

Key responsibilities

  • Using After Effects to animate landing pages, site banners, email headers, and any other online related promotional material, working with templates when necessary, to deliver engaging content to our customers
  • Update TV end frames to communicate our most current marketing offers
  • Work effectively with business counterparts to conceive and deliver animated games to increase customer engagement
  • Supporting the Design Manager in improving procedures resulting in a more efficient service, while also maintaining the existing high standards of design work delivered by the team.
  • Ensure projects are delivered on time and deadlines are achieved to allow the marketing teams to publish up to the minute content to our ·· customers
  • Liaise with various stakeholders to gather feedback and make sure feedback is implemented correctly to reduce iterations.
  • Present and substantiate work when necessary while communicating key points effectively to the various stake holders, to facilitate understanding, to gain buy in, and obtain final sign off.
  • Collaborate with the web master and product teams to ensure animations are implemented successfully to ensure maximum customer engagement.
  • Ensure brand guidelines are adhered too in order to present a consistent and coherent brand image to our customers
  • Be proactive in contributing ideas and suggestions during the weekly design meeting to facilitate teamwork and collaboration.
  • Communicate effectively with team members, Design Manager and Stakeholders to ensure key project information is shared and understood

Qualifications and Educational Requirements

  • Must possess a High School Diploma, Vocational Diploma / Short Course Certificate, Bachelor’s Degree, any field.

Specialist Skills and Experience Required

  • Excellent knowledge of the Adobe Creative suite package of applications, specifically Photoshop & After Effects with demonstrable experience in motion graphics
  • Strong Cinema 4D skills
  • Experience working in a deadline driven environment
  • Strong sense of composition and layout, typography and color
  • Strong understanding of branding
  • Enjoy problem solving and possess the ability to translate business problems into creative and compelling animated solutions
  • Strong understanding of Video and DVD formats, compression techniques and format requirements/constraints
  • Experience using workflow tools like Jira a huge plus
  • Be organized and detail oriented when undertaking projects
  • Mac OSX platform
  • Certified Motion Graphics qualification.
