About The Role
Role Purpose

The Display Media Buyer is responsible for researching, negotiating, purchasing and monitoring advertising space and airtime on behalf of the company. In addition, the Media Buyer is negotiating and constantly optimizing campaigns on display ad networks, traffic exchange platforms and Demand-Side Platforms (DSPs), in order to reach the highest number of people in the Ladbrokes Coral group target audience at the lowest possible cost. The Media Buyer will also be providing weekly and monthly analysis reports for senior management, showing his progression towards monthly targets that were set.

Key Responsibilities

  • Accountable for the strategy setting for individual portfolio of display media channel as well as implementing department strategy set by Head Of Media Buying.
  • Accountable for delivering performance of individual portfolio by using DSPs, ad networks, retargeting and pre-targeting technologies, display agencies and VOD platforms.
  • Responsible for meeting monthly targets of First Time Deposits (FTDs) and Net Gaming Revenue (NGR) that were set by the Head Of Media Buying together with senior management.
  • Responsible for ensuring all promotional materials presented to target audience are compliant, appropriate and competitive at all times.
  • Responsible for optimising performance of media channel portfolio by setting creative, offer and promotion strategies in conjunction with brand promotional teams.
  • Work closely with Media Mix Optimisation team in BI to review, analyse and improve our digital attribution models in order to implement recommended changes quickly and effectively to maintain high portfolio volume and profitability.
  • Responsible for encouraging communication and collaboration with publishers and key holders across the business, team and stakeholders in order to build strong relationships and develop cross functional activity.
  • Expand existing campaigns and media sources of portfolio by finding, negotiating and signing new contracts with new media sources (networks, direct publishers, media companies etc.).
  • Responsible for identifying the target audience for each media campaign and selecting the most productive means in order to maximize volume and profitability of portfolio.
  • Accountable for being up to date with new industry trends and possibilities by researching on various data sources as industry’s magazines, researches, online and social media platforms.
  • Ensuring the company’s desired media message is seen and heard by consumers by monitoring the display media campaigns run accurately.
  • Responsible for analysing display campaigns effectiveness and base decision making of future campaigns on it.
Qualifications and Educational Requirements
  • No specific requirements but successful candidate is likely to have university level education and/or equivalent vocational training.
Specialist Skills and Experience Required
  • Strong analytical, excel and quantitative skills
  • Native\ fluent English speaker
  • Strong understanding of digital advertising legislation and codes of practice
  • 1-2 years’ experience in display media buying for performance based company
  • Deep knowledge in programmatic display, retargeting technologies, and DSP management
  • Significant hands-on and strategic online sports or gaming experience- advantage
  • Strategic thinker with outstanding problem solving skills
  • Proven track record of optimising 3rd party relationships with high profile, international suppliers (e.g. Facebook, Google)
  • Track record of working internationally -preferred
  • Genuine ability to cope with ambiguity and constant change
  • Customer focused and able to think across organizational boundaries to deliver a seamless customer experience
