About The Role
Role Purpose

The Senior Digital Manager is responsible for planning all digital campaigns across the Sports Brands.

The role will have a significant aspect of strategic planning to maximise effectiveness and coordination with internal teams/business owners to align with key business priorities 

Key Responsibilities

Manage the paid search marketing budget and develop quarterly/monthly paid marketing plans to drive maximum business results
Coordinate with the Brand/Creative team to develop and test effective creative
Partner with the Digital Teams to accurately measure paid advertising (incrementally, multi-touch attribution)
Own the landing page experience for paid social campaigns, including testing and personalization
Establish deep relationship with publisher partners to make sure our paid advertising is best-in-class, and regularly test alphas/betas
Be an internal thought leader of how best to use media platforms beyond advertising to drive business result and growth
Plan media strategy within assigned campaigns and maintain performance KPIs
Perform competitive analysis and develop a comprehensive industry understanding
Use Google Analytics/Search Ads 360 (or similar bid management and analytics software) to assess trends and activity
Summarize campaign performance and recap channel initiatives for both internal and external stakeholders
Responsible for active and on-going market research
A leader that mentors and develops the Digitals Teams by: providing development, coaching, objectives and goal setting, performance management and other people policies as required ensuring the team is motivated, productive and fully compliant with all regulations and legislation
Encourages communication and collaboration across the business, team and stakeholders in order to build strong relationships and develop cross functional collaborations.
Work closely with BI Team to review, analyse and improve our digital attribution models and implement recommended changes quickly and effectively in order to ensure the team’s portfolio is constantly profitable
Accountable for updating the team with new industry trends and possibilities by researching on various data sources as industry’s magazines, researches, online and social media platforms
Take significant part in recruiting new members to the team
Responsible for analysing team’s campaigns effectiveness and basing future decisions for the team on it to ensure volume and profitability are increasing
A strategic and inspiring leader that provides leadership and direction to the team creating and embedding a culture where continuous improvement is embraced

Qualifications and Educational Requirements

No specific requirements but successful candidate likely to have university level education and/or equivalent vocational training

Specialist Skills and Experience Required

Experienced team leader
Previous experience of managing/planning  £10m+ digital marketing budget
5+ years’ experience in digital media based company 
Significant hands-on and strategic online sports or gaming experience
Outstanding people manager with demonstrable track record of recruiting, developing and managing talent within a multi-cultural environment
Results orientated individual focused on delivering high results while demonstrating agility and self-control
Proven analytical capability and an understanding of BI/data analytics and attribution.
Strong understanding of digital advertising legislation and codes of practice
Strategic thinker with outstanding problem solving and project management skills
Proven track record of optimising 3rd party relationships with high profile, international suppliers (e.g. Facebook, Google)
Track record of working internationally - preferred
Genuine ability to cope with ambiguity and constant change
