About The Role

Role Purpose

The responsibilities of the Junior Copywriter are to produce first class online and offline Bingo, Casino and Poker materials for all marketing channels across Gala Coral Interactive business Gala Brands. They will also be responsible for providing Editorial support across all types of writing and proofing to the Editorial Manager and the rest of the editorial team.

The Junior Copywriter works in the Creative Department and reports in to the Editorial Manager.

Key Responsibilities

  • The delivery of strong and dynamic copy and content from initial briefing through to final production, including research, planning and concept creation for selected Gala Bingo and Gala Casino online and offline marketing activities
  • Close working relationships with Marketing, Product, Web, and various third parties to ensure quality and consistent copy is written across all teams to achieve business objectives
  • Quality checks of production output to ensure completed work is error-free, meets the brief, and achieves the desired standards
  • Ensure work produced is consistent with the creative direction and brand guidelines in style and tone as set by the Editorial Manager, Senior Copywriters and Marketing teams
  • Constant awareness of all on-going projects and other disciplines within the Creative team to achieve the correct, coordinated solution

Experience and Skills

  • Previous experience in an online gaming Copywriting or Content role
  • Strong knowledge of all Microsoft products such as Word, Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Strong knowledge of Communication/marketing/SEO trends currently used in online CRM
  • Keen interest in writing, popular culture, and new advertising trends and technique
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of mobile and tablet gaming ideal
  • Proven personal communication skills (written, verbal and presentational)
  • Natural team player with the ability to work to tight deadlines
  • Ability to develop productive working relationships with internal and third party service providers as required
  • University-level education in Marketing, English or equivalent industry recognized certificates is preferable
